Villa Maslina is situated in Stara Mokošica ,7 km from the centre of Dubrovnik. From the north and east it is surrounded by limestone hills and from the south by the beautiful Rijeka dubrovačka bay. In the vicinity there is also the Komolac ACI marina, one of the most beautiful and safest marinas in the world. There are also around ten other urban centres like Rožat, Prijevor, Petrovo selo. The unusual beauty of the bay, the river springs and abundant Mediterranean flora have made this bay very interesting. It is divided into Mokošica (the old part) and Nova Mokošica which are situated at the bank of the river Ombla. There are many sixteenth-century summerhouses in the old part of Mokošica. Among them the Gučetić-Đurđić summerhouse, and Bunić family, Ranjina family and Zuzorić family summerhouses. The residents of the old part live in family houses and lately many colourful residential buildings have been built. Because of the vicinity of the sea a shipyard for smaller ships and boats was built. In addition to the shipyard there are also a few taverns, cafés, shops and workshops.
